The train SPT1\/2 departs from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baolau.com\/s\/Ho-Chi-Minh\/Phan-Thiet\/train\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Saigon to Phan Thiet<\/strong><\/a> in the morning and returns from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baolau.com\/s\/Phan-Thiet\/Ho-Chi-Minh\/train\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Phan Thiet to Saigon<\/strong><\/a> in the afternoon. Many SE and TN services running the North\u2013South railway line connect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baolau.com\/s\/Ho-Chi-Minh\/Binh-Thuan\/train\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Saigon to Binh Thuan<\/strong><\/a>, providing an alternative for passengers to drop off and arrange a short taxi ride to Phan Thiet or Mui Ne.<\/p>\n<h2>Departure from Saigon<\/h2>\n<p>Saigon Railway Station is located in District 3. It is the main railway station serving the city and the terminus station for the North\u2013South railway line and the two secondary lines, Saigon\u2013Quy Nhon and Saigon\u2013Phan Thiet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1152\" class=\"wp-image-12662\" src=\"https:\/\/www.baolau.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/65637170_10213911895655359_623875219861274624_o.jpg\" alt=\"Saigon to Phan Thiet by train\"><\/p>\n<p>Despite the official name of the city was changed to Ho Chi Minh City after the war, the railway station is still called Saigon Station on an official basis. If you book your train tickets online with Baolau, you will receive the official electronic tickets issued by Vietnam Railways. Passengers can print the e-tickets or carry in the mobile phone or tablet since digital copies are accepted. Check your train number on the information board. Today, Platform 1 will be used for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baolau.com\/blog\/vietnam-railways-se3-hanoi-to-saigon-by-reunification-express-overnight-train\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SE8 Reunification Express bound to Hanoi<\/a>.
