They sleeping cars are very comfortable, but way to cooled down to sleep well in short clothing. Its kinda stupid to have to carry warm clothes in Thailands hot temperature just to survive the night train. Olaf

From the purchase of the ticket to boarding of the train to Vientiane, all went smoothly without a hitch. Would have preferred a sleeper coach though but still good to have our sleep sitting on a reclining seat. Thaddues

Beds were already made up when we boarded - inconvenient for storing/unpacking our luggage, and for enjoying the start of our journey together. We were funnelled into our cabin, the call button was not responded to, when I eventually located a member of staff, we were told (shouted) that there was no restaurant car, no trolley, no food or drinks available whatsoever. So we were left hungry and thirsty as we travelled to Bangkok for the final night of our honeymoon - not the experience we had hoped for in any way, very disappointing. Thomas

We got an older model with no ac, windows open the whole ride, super loud, uncomfy seats, and no charging ports for our phones which meant we struggled to find our accommodation. The service was on time Oskar
