Baolau launched in 2013 as a multi-transport travel search engine for Vietnam.
From the beginning, our mission has been to interconnect cities by calculating times and distances, comparing travel routes and facilitating ticket booking for any mean of transportation: flights, trains, buses and ferries. We chose the term "bao lâu", which means "how long does it take?" in Vietnamese language, to honor our origins.
In 2015, we received funding from angel investors and incorporated our company BAOLAU PTE. LTD. in Singapore and BAOLAU CO. LTD. in Vietnam. In 2016, we expanded our operations to Cambodia and Laos. In 2017, we participated in MIST: Mekong Innovative Startup Tourism accelerator founded by Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO), Mekong Business Initiative (MBI) and Asian Development Bank (ADB). Also, we received investment from DesignOne Japan to pursue business expansion in the Mekong region. In the present, our international team operates from our offices in Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City, and comprises members from Vietnam, Spain, Italy and Japan.
We love travelling and are passionate about developing a platform that can help travellers find their way in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, compare transport options and book tickets easily in few minutes. To achieve this, we cooperate with the major transportation providers in the region to integrate accurate information of schedules and prices, and make online booking accessible to everybody.
Welcome to Baolau. We look forward to assisting with your travel planning.
Our service is designed to provide information about transport routes by air, railway, road and waterways. For that purpose, we cooperate with the following airlines, train operators, bus and ferry companies.
