Fair enough accommodation for a overnight train. 6"2 and slept comfortably enough. It is what it is Mitchell

The seat that was mentioned on the ticket was not available/ already booked. We had to find another ticket through the staff Daniel  

The team at the railway station, advised to be upstairs at 9:30pm except we were already there thankfully at 9pm and the damitrans team arrived to convert our train voucher to a ticket. Grateful that we followed the email instructions to be there an hour before to queue and get our tickets, so we could the carry our luggage down the stairs onto the platform and also into the train. Bad experience because the seats were changed in the last minutes. And the officers were very rude when explaining the situation. The mattress is also very hard. Michel  

We booked lower cabin and when we arrived our cabin was overbooked. Thankfully we had at least 2 upper cabins. We paid a lot of money and don’t expect to sleep. Two other people snoring so loud and the beds are hard like a brick Shelly

It is not the fault of Damitrans (their representative was very correct and helpful), but the mattress was the most uncomfortable I have lain on. It was as hard as concrete. I did not sleep at all. Guy

For the extra cost, double the regular fare, I expected a hire quality of service. It was actually lower than the regular fare car. Double the price for a small water and a small bag of chips was not worth it Dwayne  

J’ai voyagé dans les cabines à 2, aller/retour entre Hanoi et sapa avec ma sœur, elles étaient très propres, avec de l’eau, des chips et des kits de brosses à dents. Les toilettes et les lavabos dehors juste à côté des cabines. Au début nous ne savions pas comment faire parce qu’on étaient venues très en avance, mais en fait il faut juste lire le billet et se présenter une heure à l’avance à la gare et on est très vite pris en charge et installer en cabine.. nous avons bien dormi le retour mieux que l’aller je dirais. Les toilettes étaient propres même si le soir y avait un peu d’eau par terre. En tout cas nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’expérience Latifa

Arrived on time, staff friendly, beds too narrow , short and hard. Toilets not like photographs, basic toilet no sink. Did feel like a VIP experience we did not take the train back and accepted the loss it was so bad. Andrew  

Not pleasant. Beds were hard as a rock, rooms were hot, no WiFi. Might be worth it for a much cheaper price but this was not “luxury” as advertised. Emily

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à la gare, il n'y avait personne pour transformer notre voucher. On.nous a dit d'aller directement au train mais le wagon T01 n'existait pas. Des personnes (peut-être d'une compagnie de train, on ne saura jamais car l'échange en anglais etait limité) nous ont emmenés à l'autre bout du train Donc tout est bien qui finit bien, mais le moment d'attente pour savoir si nous pourrions ou non monter dans ce train a été un peu embêtant. No problem. Everything was clear and easy to get the tickets. Train was clean. Only issue is people smoking on the train: when will it be forbidden to smoke? (But I know that's not your fault). Jonathan  

Got wrong Tickets at the gate, asked why we would get 3 Tickets when booked only 2. Service sent us to train anyway. Later we had to clear the compartment, got our correct Tickets and were moved 2 coaches further. Somewhat old coaches. Peter

It was pretty much as travelling with regular Vietnamese railways but twice as expensive. Knut  

Terrible experience : We arrived and a hobbo was already sleeping in our bed, we had to negociate for him to go with the ticket guy. We had several Coarcroatches and Moskitos in the room. The ticket guy put 2 extra people in our room, one of them snored the whole night (not the company fault but still, really unconfortable experience) Overall dirty place and unconfortable for a "Deluxe" ticket paid more than 100$ We'll take the bus for sure next time and will make sure to tell everyone about this Stanislas

Very poor quality cabin for VIP cost. Extremely hard beds & toilet facilities were very poor. Stephen

Nos cambiaron de categoría y vagón sin aviso tuvimos que perder casi una hora para poder saber en qué vagón dormiríamos y casi perdemos el tren Francisco  

El ruido dentro dentro del vagón no los permitió dormir confortablemente. Había zonas del tren mucho más silenciosas, pero desafortunadamente nuestro vagón era extremadamente ruidoso por un problema en una rueda.. Francisco  

We discovered that our sleeper compartment was in an extremely old train, with no shock absorbers, very unstable, and moving a lot despite traveling at only 30 km/h, which immediately raised our concern and caused a real panic attack. We wanted to get off in tears before departure, but this was refused with complete indifference, under the pretext that the doors were already closed. On the contrary, the staff tried to sell us a transportation option to anticipate our arrival, even during the crisis. Additionally, we witnessed a physical altercation between the only two employees in the carriage, a woman and a man, which added to our distress. We were fortunate that the train encountered a problem requiring an emergency stop, which allowed us to escape by throwing our luggage out of the train. Kristina  

Bed was as good as can be expected …..similar to other sleeptrain we used with another company. Fresh and clean sheets. Clean cabin. Toilet was OK…. .check in a bit messy….being sent to the wrong carriage at the other end of a very long train. Jurjen
