Train companies in Myanmar
The railway network in Myanmar is managed by Myanma Railways, the state-owned rail operator under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport. In the present, trains transiting the Myanmar railway network are pulled by diesel electric locomotives and diesel multiple units circulating at a top speed of 100 km/h.

The diesel-electric multiple units (DEMU) railway service is operated with Spanish CAF trains and Japanese KiHa series trains running at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

How to use the train e-ticket?
The electronic ticket received by email is not a valid boarding pass and it cannot be used to board the train.
Passengers travelling with Myanma Railways can print the e-ticket in advance to collect the physical ticket at the station.

Receive your electronic ticket by email in PDF format. Print a copy of the e-ticket in advance.
PICK UP YOUR BOARDING PASS
Arrive at the station, present a printed copy of the electronic ticket at the ticket counter, pick up the physical ticket and cross through the gates using your boarding pass.
BOARD THE TRAIN
Access the platform, locate your car number and wait for the boarding call to board the train. Find your seat number in the physical ticket.
