Ticket validity and usage

Ticket reservation is available 6 months in advance, subject to system availability.

The pass is valid for redemption within 1 month from the selected travel date.

The exchange order will be issued upon successful payment confirmation. Passengers can print the exchange order in advance or carry it in their mobile phone and redeem it for a physical KL TravelPass card. The exchange order cannot be used to board the train.

After redemption, the 2-day unlimited travel validity will begin upon the first use of the card. After 2 days, the unlimited travel period ends and the card may be reloaded with stored value for regular public transport use.

Ticket booking conditions

  • Cancellations are not permitted, the exchange orders are non-refundable once issued.
  • Changes (if applicable) are subject to fare conditions and must be requested before departure.
  • Fare conditions are subject to Express Rail Link and Rapid KL operating policies.

Passengers are responsible for selecting the correct departure and arrival stations (KLIA Terminal 1 or KLIA Terminal 2) and verify the reservation details carefully before completing payment.

How to use the metro pass?

The exchange order is valid to redeem it for a physical KL TravelPass card. It cannot be used to board the train.

The pass is valid for redemption within 1 month from the selected travel date.

After arriving in Kuala Lumpur, passengers can exchange the KL TravelPass by presenting the exchange order at the KLIA Ekspres ticket counters located at KLIA Terminal 1 (Level 1), KLIA Terminal 2 (International Arrival, Level 2), or KL Sentral (KLIA Ekspres Departure Hall, Level 1)..

After redemption, the 2-day unlimited travel validity will begin upon the first use of the card.
