Reviews
The ticket price is almost the same as in the ticket office, only additional service fee that you are paying during ticket booking. The QR code worked very well and all the process passed smoothly. Elchin
Very comfortable and efficient. A clear and simple to use booking system. Andrew
Easiest website ever for transport. WAY easier than anything in my home country of the UK!! Daryl
As a foreigner, travelling through many lands, this is EASILY the simplest booking process of all. And the stations and trains are SO clean. Daryl
Perfect. If I had to do it again, I would book first class, the difference was small Axelle
Unable to choose your seat! And booking only opens 4 days prior travel and at this stage some sections class are already fully booked! Jean
It is a pity that you cannot choose your seat! We booked 2 seats and not even seated together! Also riding a train backwards is for me very uncomfortable! I wanted to buy a business class seat but even when the tickets are released 4 days prior travel this section was fully booked as well as 1st class section! Disappointing! Jean
Very good service one of the best. Paul
The journey was fine. The train was full. The only issue was getting on and off as only one carriage door was opened for at least two carriages, and lots of passengers disembarked at Vang Vieng. Passengers beware: card playing off any sort is illegal in Laos as two female passengers quickly found out. They were both fined before they got on the train. Michelle
Train was on time, clean Trisya
I booked two first class expecting that there will be a food counter nearby but instead there is only one food counter at Coach No. 4 while the first class is at Coach No. 8 which is inconvenient for first class passengers. Kiong
Parfait, service de sécurité rapide et efficace, train à l'heure, siège confortable nickel. Clara
Smooth transaction. Binh
Comfortable air conditioned train that departed on time and arrived on time. Daniel
Was a great easy reliable way of getting train tickets as a British person Louise
The ride was extremely comfortable and fast with many opportunities to purchase food and updates in many languages. Roy
Excellent service Andrea
It was a good trip the only problem I encountered was the luggage check. The lady was very rude I wish the staff could be more kind. And having as well shops that accepted card payments would have been wonderful. Isabella
Amazing experience. First class seats were just too good and it was quite easy as well to get in and out of the train. Only caviat is enablement of the tickets 3 days prior, makes no sense to me. Prieto
Wonderful time in the train, very comfortable, smooth ride. Nino
Train was good but got a lousy bad seating with no windows view. Wish there is an option or note for ticket purchase om future. Thank you Chee
Réservation lente pour le train. J’ai dû payer de l’argent en plus pour être en première classe. A cela s’ajoute les frais. Pierre
Train was late with 15 minutes Pierre
Everything good and on time. More phone charger at the train station would be better. Diego
Everything happened the way it was supposed to. Sophie
Problemlos - gute Organisation beim Check-In und pünktliche Fahrt.....alles easy top ! Andreas
Servicio rápido y sin problemas Juan
This was a wonderfully smooth journey with very efficient service and comfortable train ride. Bart
Too busy and caos Vincenzo
Very convenient and pleasant journey Vijendranpillai
Very convenient to do the train booking, accepts mastercard and visa as well. Vijendranpillai
I can not book a ticket directly through LRC App Hoang
Baolau service is good - it will be better if we can use the QR code you provided instead of exchanging the tickets at the station. I understand this is not Baolau's issue. I did write a google review re Vientiane Railway Station: "Bought our tickets online for Vientiane to Kunming but we need to change the "QR code ticket" provided online to a paper ticket at the station. We did this on the day of our trip and what a mayhem. We have only the best experience with Lao people in our entire stay but this last minute experience is really disappointing. We "lined" up at 6:15am with 3 people ahead of us and upto the opening time of 7am people are "cutting". They don't seem to be passengers but like many reviews here stated, so many people are trying to sell tickets. One guy claimed he was there at 5am but he wasn't there when we arrived but he seemed to knows the rest of the guys trying to sell / buy tickets. When the door opened, everyone pushed to go in. Ma
I would have liked the opportunity to choose which direction I was facing on the train Stephen
Please maintain this standard of cleanliness for a long time. Rungrattawatchai
It was great experience, the tickets were issued almost immediately, the LCR team very cooperative and the train super comfortable. Suraj
I had to cancel and couldn’t be refunded Paul
Very easy, everything runs on time, nice modern trains. Be cautious of the restrictions on what can be carried through security, very strict. Very busy especially second class seats which seem to sell out quickly. Simon
Seats are too hard Paula
Todo correcto. Oscar
Very efficient service. The train arrived ontime. Train was clean. There was food available at the station and on the train Kathryn

Precise arrival time. Karl
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unjustified confiscation of my personal Swiss knife (Leatherman brand, including a folding blade less than 10 cm) by security staff at Vang Vieng train station during my recent journey on the Laos-China Railway. According to their own published Transport Regulations, only knives with a blade exceeding 10 cm are prohibited. My knife is a standard utility tool with a folding blade under the legal limit, and it clearly does not fall under any restricted category such as automatic, spring-loaded, or double-edged knives. Despite this, I was given no explanation, no option to store or reclaim my item, and no documentation of seizure. This action was unjustified, unprofessional, and entirely outside the bounds of your own stated policy. Augustin
