ĐỨC DƯƠNG BUS

There has been so many unnecessary stops, the ride has been ridiculously bumpy, we are already 45 minutes behind schedule and are currently in a garage where the bus is getting something done to it but we haven’t been told anything. The bus has also over reached its capacity and people are lying on the floor blocking the way. I went the bathroom and came back to a man lying on my bed!!! I really think I deserve a refund for this unbelievably unpleasant experience. Daisy  

DO NOT USE DUC DUONG BUS SERVICE!!! We required a refund from Duc Duong as they cancelled our bus and attempted to place us on a cheaper service. No refund was provided. Duc Duong hung up phone calls and refused to answer emails. WhatsApp messages or interact in any way. Did Duong are a bunch of lying scammers. Mark  

El conductor iba muy rápido, tanto que que nos adelanto dos horas la llegada y nos hemos tenido que quedar en la calle tirados. No volveré a contrata con ellos Jeannet  

2 h de retard sur l'horaire. Climatisation à fond, impossible de régler ou fermer les ouies de ventilation qui sont cassées, du coup je suis malade. Patrick

Bus showed up on time, beds were clean, and driving was fairly smooth. Cabins were a little small for me (182cm) but I still slept most of the way. Nicholas  

No iba el cargador del teléfono lo que me supuso un gran problema para mi viaje. Y el autobús llegó al destino una hora y un poco más tarde la cual estaba prevista para las 10:30AM y llegamos cerca de las 12, lo que también supuso un problema pues teníamos actividades. La limpieza del autobús tampoco era la mejor de todas con manchas por las paredes y cortinas negras con manchas, no lo recomendaría. Alvaro

Pas le bus de nuit réservé initialement (bus « luxe » sans couchette au milieu donc couchettes plus grandes … on s’est retrouvé dans un bus sale, vétuste avec couchettes au milieu). Le chauffeur était odieux et nous traitait comme de la bétaillère. Deborah  

Worst experiemce ever. The beds are for kids not for adults, so small and hard to get in and out and no room even to move. Basically its not bed its just a flat seat. And the staff are so so rude, try to make money every point of the journey and if you dont pay what they want then they treat you worse through out the journey Durga

first of all we waited 3 hours for the bus to coming than one of the man that was working in the bus was definitely drunk and he came to my spot and open, without saying anything, the little curtains invading my privacy and then he kissed my hand and continued annoying me for a bit of time, luckily there was i guy next to me that could speak vietnamise and help me send the drunk man away from me! i was not feeling safe so i really hope you are gonna do something about it! Left over 90 minutes late with no explanation. Feel they just booked us on any old bus when they couldn't be bothered to give us a 19:00 bus. Poor service, wouldn't use them again. James

Good communication the night before about a later departure time. Ultimately we were nearly an hour and a half late and nearly missed our cruise. Lisa  

We had to go to the old quarter office to be picked up. Only had the option of situation the very back which makes me sick. Drove around Hanoi for over an hour picking up 3 people. Last person was picked up 10 minutes from our hotel. Seemed like a milk run trips with driver go to several out of the way places. Middle seats not sat in for several hours. Also last to be dropped off. Marlys  

Bus was clean, had lots of room and the driver made up time from the initial delay but for such a long journey there was no proper rest stop which was a surprise! Changing to a smaller car from Da Nang to Hoi An also took more time Charlotte  

Rude, kicked us off the bus 2 hrs before expected arrival time and threw our bags on the ground and it caused me to lose my sunglasses. Lyle  

We would like to have had more than one 10 minute break for a rest stop. In a ten hour trip. Otherwise trip was good. John

Departed on time, arrived 1:45 late. Also limited communication made this an unpleasant experience. Eventually decided to walk 15 min to dropoff due to long routing in Hanoi and dropping off everybody. If I knew I would have a travel time which was almost 2 hour more than advertised I would have booked a different transportation option. Wouter  

Bus got to destination over 90 minutes late with no explanation or apologies. Driver made sexual comments to my wife, service person physically pushed me when entering the bus, 2 unplanned changes (booking said no changes). Awful. Robert  

Noch nie so einen schlechten Service gesehen. Können kein Wort Englisch, machen nur Stress (keine Minute Zeit beim aus und einsteigen). Nach dem Nachtbus muss man noch in einen nicht angekündigten Bus einsteigen. Bei der Abholung wollten sie mich zuerst nicht mitfahren lassen und beim Austeigen haben sie mich fast vergessen und wären mit mir weitergefahren, hätte ich mich nicht gemeldet. Es wird kurz nach Abfahrt ein Stopp gemacht, um gefühlte 500kg Mandarinen einzuladen und das Gepäck nochmal zu verräumen. Und mitten in der Nacht (4:10 Uhr) werden diese dann wieder LAUTSTARK ausgeladen. Zudem hörten die Mitarbeiter morgens Lautstark Musik und man hatte das Gefühl, der Busfahrer hubte extra. Nehmen sie jeden anderen Nachtbus, aber nicht diesen. Pascal  

Poor organization. Three buses with changes. Main bus driver highly erratic and dangerous highway driving. No notification of change in pickup site. Michael  

Le programme à été légèrement modifié. Pour éviter une perte de temps, le bus nous a déposé avant Phong Nha . Un taxi nous attendait pour finir le trajet jusqu'à Phong Nha. La synchronisation a été parfaite. Donc pas de problème Christine  

Autobús pocilguero y el espacio muy estrecho, salimos casi una hora tarde y llegamos media hora tarde del horario previsto. No es el de la foto, el nuestro era de Doraemon y no tiene baño, aunque va haciendo paradas. 20€ costó Daniel

Автобус приехал на 30 минут позже, потому что мы долго ждали около 5 утра какой-то другой автобус недалеко от Ханоя уже ближе к концу пути. Когда тот автобус приехал, начались странные вещи. Люди перетаскивали какие-то черные кожаные сумки их одного автобуса в другой , посреди ночи. Затем в наш автобус подсело еще пару туристов. Nikitin  

We had to transfer twice, which was a bit confusing. We had to take a different van in Ninh Binh city and then go to another different van in Hanoi, so it was a little tiring. However, I appreciated the van service sending me updates on Whatsapp and confirming that I was correctly picked up. So it was fine. Mallorygrace  

The driver was driving quite roughly. I couldn't buckle up in my seat because there was no seatbelt. The journey took about 5 hours instead of the 2.5 hours indicated because the driver got completely lost in Hanoi. Although we showed him on Google Maps where our hotel was, he drove completely in the other direction and did so several times. In the end, we spent over an hour driving around Hanoi for no purpose. I was waiting at the designated place and they almost left me there. They don't even check the number of people? One of the staff ignored me. Only one staff member took me seriously. Sho  

Smooth ride. The driver was cautious, and he booked a taxi for us when he realised our hotel in Hanoi was in the alleys and his vehicle could get stuck in jam. Omar

Nous avions peur à cause des différents avis mais le voyage était parfait. Sièges très confortables (17h de route et nous n’avons rien vu passé). Prises fonctionnelles et arrêts réguliers pour les toilettes. Propreté très bien. Arrivée à l’heure malgré un retard au départ de 30 minutes (le chauffeur nous attendait). Je ne mets juste pas 5 étoiles car la télé mise à disposition ne marchait pas mais c’est un détail ! Sarah  

Booked the 'limousine transfer' which was a van with about 10 comfortable seats added in to get from Hanoi to Cao Bang (6 hours). The driver was very fast (as can be expected in Vietnam) but clearly knew the roads very well, and got us there on time. Had a rest stop half way through which was handy. I think all the negative reviews of this company are from the much larger 41 seater bus. We personally had no issues with the limousine transfer! Alexander

Voyage très confortable, le chauffeur avait une conduite très douce. Et pourtant ça tourne… Prise en charge à notre hôtel à l’heure convenue. Trajet de 6h respecté. C’était parfait. Voyage réservé par Internet depuis la France, et sans mauvaise surprise à l’arrivée. Contact de l’opérateur par WhatsApp la veille du voyage Jeanmichel

Tout s'est bien passé. J'ai apprécié le message de la compagnie de bus la veille de mon départ pour me confirmer le point de rendez-vous. Je ne savais pas que je pouvais préciser une adresse de destination au moment de ma réservation. Je pensais que c'était un point d'arrivée identique pour tout le monde. Richard
