Travellers with Reserved Seat tickets are required to take their numbered seat in the Green Cars or the Ordinary Cars. Travellers with Non-reserved Seat tickets are allowed to take any seat available only in the Ordinary Cars designated as Non-reserved.

JR East operates two types of services on Limited Express trains between Odawara and Tokyo.

  • - The Limited Express Odoriko runs between Izukyu Shimoda Station in Shizuoka and Tokyo Station stopping in Odawara Station.
  • - The Limited Express Shonan runs between Odawara Station and Tokyo Station.

Limited Express trains carry Green Cars with business class seats and Ordinary Cars with standard class seats distributed in Reserved and Non-reserved. In total, the Limited Express trains offer three passenger classes: Reserved Seat (Green Car), Reserved Seat (Ordinary Car) and Non-reserved Seat.

Odakyu Railway operates two types of services on Limited Express trains between Odawara and Tokyo.

  • - The Limited Express Hakone runs between Hakone-Yumoto Station in Hakone and Shinjuku Station in Tokyo stopping Odawara Station in Odawara.
  • - The Limited Express Sagami runs between Odawara Station in Odawara and Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.

Travellers with Hakone Pass (2-day), Hakone Pass (3-day), Hakone Kamakura Pass (3-day), and Fuji Hakone Pass (3-day) can travel on Express and Local trains in Non-reserved Seat. Passengers can also travel on Limited Express trains by purchasing a Reserved Seat ticket in advance.
