Eizan Railway is a Japanese private railway company that operates the sightseeing train "Eiden" in Kyoto.
Trains operated by Eizan Railway
Eizan Railway operates sightseeing trains running on conventional rail.
On sightseeing trains, travellers can board with standard ticket or rail pass and they are allowed to take any seat available. On these trains, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eizan Railway operates two types of sightseeing trains:
- HIEI is the service running between Demachiyanagi and Yase-Hieizanguchi
- KIRARA is the service running between Demachiyanagi, Kibuneguchi and Kurama

Travel with rail pass
We facilitate the purchase of different rail pass with Eizan Railway and Keihan Railway valid for unlimited travel between Demachiyanagi, Takaragaike, Yase-Hieizanguchi, Kibuneguchi and Kurama.

Ee Kippu Ticket
Passengers can travel on all Eizan Railway lines between Demachiyanagi, Yase-Hieizanguchi, Kibuneguchi and Kurama for 1 day.

No change for tickets on public holidays.
Cancellation policy
The following cancellation terms apply to the train fares:

If you wish to cancel your booking with Eizan Railway, kindly manage your booking and request a cancellation to proceed with the refund (only if permitted by fare rule). This option is available until 24 hours before departure, after that time please contact directly with Eizan Railway. Service fees will not be refunded. Cancellation fees will apply.
