VIETNAM RAILWAYS

The overall trip was good. Only issue was there was cockroaches in our sleeper cabin and also it seems as if might’ve been used as storage too as there was two big boxes in our cabin and no one else was booked. So that blocked for us to be able to freely use the table. Aside from that, the ride was to be expected. Etheridge  

The Heritage Train was a really nice way to get to Da Nang from Hue. Very scenic! A++++ Jennifer

Despite being over 40 minutes late departing Nha Trang, it arrived in HCMC on time. Boiling water for food and drinks. Unfortunately the seat was faulty and only had the reclined position. Not practical for eating or drinking. Lighting too bright for night time travel. Neville

From previous experience, the, air-conditioning was cold again unfortunately, even for the young healthy military service men aboard. Thankfully this time we didn't have DEAFENING announcements and nationalist songs blaring over the pa system after each, morning stop, just a gentle service announcement. The boiled water service was only hot this time not boiling so noodles struggled to soften properly or make tea. Neville  

The only problem for me was the air conditioning was not very good. Everything else was good Vera  

Ok train ride especially for the price we paid through Baolau. About 51 dollars for the three of us. The cabin was a bit dated but clean, the berths comfy enough. We all managed to get some sleep and departed and arrived on schedule. Would certainly use your service again! Michel  

Worth paying a bit extra for the daytime sleeper berth. Train was reasonably punctual, clean enough Stephen

Todo fue estupendo, los trenes han sido renovados y se nota. El único pero es que a través de los conductos del aire llegaba olor a cigarrillo, ocurrió varias veces durante la noche, seguramente debido a algún viajero o trabajador que fumaba en el baño. Deberían ser más estrictos con eso. Eric  

The journey itself is poor. The train carriage and cabin are simply bad. There wasn’t even a bottle of water or any food provided. There was no trash bin, either. The condition of the tracks, combined with the state of the train/carriage, made for a bad experience. This was my first time on this train, and it will definitely be my last. On the other hand, the service regarding the booking of this trip and handling subsequent questions was excellent. Thank you, Baolau! S  

Soft seating option. Smoking at end of carriages. Loud shouting down phone. Audio played by many on phones. PowerPoint not all working. Bright lighting all night long. Tray tips with chair - VERY dangerous! Train ran on time. Staff friendly. Food, drinks, and self serve hot water available. Neville

This was a wonderful way to see the Vietnam country side without catching another plane. The time of this train was perfect with kids as a lot of the long trip was in the night meaning they could sleep and wake up in HCMC. Couldn’t fault the service and the experience Kiah

Pleasant journey. Our berth door was broken and was only fixed shortly before the 8 hour journey finished. Some of the linen smelt like it may have been used before we joined the train however overall very pleasant journey. We would definitely book with Baolau again. Vicki

The train was delayed by around two hours, which was quite inconvenient. In addition, the cabin could have been cleaner and better maintained. I hope these issues can be addressed in the future to provide passengers with a more comfortable and pleasant journey. Marian

Train was a bit late but that is to be expected considering the distance it is traveling. Booked “Premium softseat” and it is worth it doing so. It is all just a bit better as “soft seat”. Mjcm  

Beautiful train journey. The Heritage train is very clean and comfortable. Completely different to the regular SE train which we took in the return journey. Entertainment included which waa an unexpected delight. Julie

The train was on time, but on the train it was very hot and very little space for all the luggague of all the passangers. Lan  

SE10 not as good as SE 2 and we had to travel in darkness due to electrical fault in our coach. Fixed en route but annoying. Martin
